Unit 5 Weather

                 Lesson 1 It’s sunny.

Teaching aims and demands:

1. To understand、say、read and write the words:

sunny, cloudy, windy

2. To understand、say and read the word:

climb ,hill , put on

3. To understand、say and read the sentences:

A: It’s sunny./…

B: Let’s going swimming./…

Teaching difficulties:

     1. Ask and answer about weather using the     following sentences:

A: It’s sunny./…

B: Let’s going swimming./…

2. The pronunciation of “climb”.

Teaching aids:

      word cards, some sentence cards, pictures, weather stickers, some presents

Teaching procedures:

 Step 1. Warm up

1. Free talk.

2. Lead-in .

1)Teacher show many pictures .Let the students say out as quickly as they can .

2)We can do different things in different season.I like spring,I can fly my kite.What about you?

3)Different season different weather.Today we’ll talk about weather.

Step 2. Presentation

1. T: Look at our friend—Li Ming and Danny they are having breakfast. How’s the weather?

2. Watch and answer: What do they want to do?

Watch the video and try to answer the question.

Then teach the phrase: climb the hill

3. Put on your jacket.

T: On the top of the hill, it’s windy and cold. Danny feels cold. What does Li Ming suggest?

Teach: put on your jacket.

Step 3: Practice

1. Read with the reading pen twice.

2. Try to retell the story according to the sentences on the blackboard.

3.Let’s talk

1) Look at the turning table and say the weather and activities together.

2) Make a model.

3) Practice in pairs like this:

A: It’s sunny. / …..

B: Let’s go swimming. / …..

4) Check four pairs.

T: Look at the turning table. Let’s turn it. You have to practice in pairs. One says the weather; the other one says the activities. Now, one two three!

      S1: It’s windy. It’s cool.

      S2: Let’s fly kite.

Step 4: Production   Weather book

       1. T: Today I bring you a big book. On the same day, the weather is different in different cities.

2.Give the students a passage about the weather in Britain.Let them know more about the weather.

Hello, I’m Tom. I’m from Britain. The weather changes very often in a day. In the morning, it’s very warm. I often go to the park with my friends. We often skip and play basketball .At noon, it’s cloudy and cold. I often watch TV . Sometimes I make things with my mom. In the afternoon it’s sunny and windy . I often fly my kite. Sometimes I go to the zoo. What a colorful life!

教学反思

本课主要学习描述当前天气状况并给出合理的着装建议。通过对智雅课堂教学模式的学习和理解,我以“智、雅”为核心,简洁高效的执教了本节课。

本节课的亮点有:

1 创设情境,趣味性呈现问题,激发学生的学习兴趣。

在学习爬山过程中的天气变化时,我先在黑板上画出一座大山贴上Danny和Li Ming 的头像,引领大家和他们一起爬山。边爬山边逐个呈现问题。新颖的呈现方式,激发了学生学习的兴趣和求知欲望,渲染了良好的课堂氛围。随着问题的解决,爬山过程中天气的变化也在板书上跃然而出。真实的情境,有趣的设计加深了学生对课文的理解,真正达到了有趣有效!

2 重视自然拼读法教学,寓教于无形。

让学生在英语氛围中感受单词,同时注意字母发音规律的教学,培养学生自学单词的能力。

3 活动设计层层递进,发挥学生的主动性,让不同层次的学生体验成功的喜悦。学生的知识储备,新知接受能力和课堂反馈是不同的。因此我在设计活动时,注意活动的层次性,让每个孩子都可以尽情展示。像超级配音秀包括有文字提示配音和无文字提示配音;角色扮演是,可以表演课文内容,也可以根据自己的理解演绎课文。自主选择式的对话交流,可以让不同层次的学生对英语学习充满自信,能够培养学生勇于挑战的精神以及合作意识,为实际环境中灵活运用英语打好基础。
